Cultural Centers

The Tall Bear Group feels passionate about the importance of preserving the cultural heritage of the Native American tribes. We know that it takes a dedicated team to make a project a success from beginning to end and it is this heart-felt teamwork that transforms a project from paper to living-breathing reality.

Having worked on many large-scale museum projects from the beautiful Museum of the Cherokee Indian, the simple yet graceful Southwest Museum of the American Indian, and the comprehensive The Autry Museum of Western Heritage, The Tall Bear Group has the awareness, understanding, cultural sensitivity, and respect for the precious stories and artifacts that we would be interpreting.

We have worked on many that have had stringent requirements for the handling of specimens and precious artifacts. These include: two Tutankhamun touring exhibitions, Real Pirates: The Untold Story of the Whydah from Slave Shop to Pirate Ship, NASA for Saturn V Visitor Center at the Kennedy Space Center (showcasing Neil Armstrong’s space suit and the very first moon rock), and several exhibits for the Smithsonian.

These exhibitions had numerous precious specimens and artifacts that required careful handling and custom mounts, models, interactive exhibits, graphics and integrated multi-media. We understand your concerns to preserve precious artifacts and have the skills necessary to ensure that visitors will enjoy them for years to come.
